FROM THE DESK OF: CLAIRE CARRILLO
You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Find a job you love, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” It’s a beautiful aspiration to genuinely enjoy what you do, and even more fulfilling when you cherish the people you work with!
After earning my BA in Mass Communication and Journalism with a focus on Public Relations from Fresno State, I’ve been fortunate to merge my passion for art, fashion, and photography into my dream role here at RPM PR, surrounded by a remarkable team of dedicated women.
From a young age, I was the creative spirit of my family, often known as the “flower-child” for my artistic flair. My love for art blossomed into a passion for photography, and when I realized I could blend that with social media, it felt like everything clicked into place.
My journey included various internships, a stint in politics, and a period of self-discovery in Los Angeles. Ultimately, I came to understand that home is where the heart truly lies. Growing up in Sanger, CA—a small farming community—taught me invaluable lessons, often learned the hard way, about cherishing the Central Valley. Those challenging yet rewarding experiences paved the way for my current path. I recognized the incredible opportunities and people in Fresno, and after much soul-searching, I chose to invest my energy back into my hometown.
Despite the obstacles I’ve faced, my heart is full of gratitude for the significant lessons learned on my journey back home. If I could share one piece of advice, it would be to persevere and keep pushing forward. Remember, even when it feels like you’re losing everything, trees shed their leaves every year yet stand tall, patiently awaiting the promise of brighter days ahead.
I am grateful to work with a group of women who uplift and inspire one another at every turn. Each day feels like a gift, and I consider myself incredibly blessed and fortunate for it all!
