FROM THE DESK OF: CAITLIN FRY
As I dive in for my second year post-grad (eek!), I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on just how far my career has brought me.
Growing up in small-town Clovis, you quickly become familiar with anything and everyone. While I love this hometown feel, I have always been interested in what else is out there. That’s when the world of PR & social media landed in my lap. Oh, what a world! The ever-changing atmosphere, the work mentality, all of it was so enticing. I quickly knew this would be a career I would thrive in.
I graduated from Fresno State University in May of 2023 with a degree in Media Communication and Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising. I absolutely LOVED my major and was really able to grow and explore different opportunities during my time there, thanks to many great professors and mentors. During my entire academic career, I have always been motivated and had that entrepreneurial type of spirit. I dabbled in all sorts of internships and volunteer opportunities that really paved the way for my career path.
For the majority of my life, I have been heavily interested in photography. I believe this adds SO much value to my position in the world of social media and PR-related things. I have always had the touch of creativity on my side. This, mixed with my ability to talk to people for hours on end, really makes this world perfect for me.
In my role as RPM's Account Coordinator, I love the opportunity to collaborate in creating engaging content that resonates with so many different audiences. The dynamic nature of PR and social media is ever-changing, and I’m here for all the opportunities that come my way. Whether it's brainstorming campaign ideas or analyzing the latest trends, I am constantly driven to push the boundaries of what's possible in this world.
Outside of work, I LOVE spending quality time with my friends and family, especially my nieces and nephews. Whether it's grabbing a yummy cocktail and dinner or escaping to the coast for some R&R, I value these moments that bring joy to my life.
Looking ahead, I am excited about the future and the endless possibilities it holds. I am committed to making a positive impact in the field of PR and social media, and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me next with RPM Public Relations. My biggest piece of advice is to remember is one of my favorite quotes,
“Your purpose is greater than the fear that limits you.”
A great reminder that every step along your journey is impactful & made for a reason. Life is beautiful and it’s never that serious, be intentional!
