The Best Morning Routine, According to the RPM PR Team

Our office is pretty split between early birds and night owls, but it’s safe to say we all value a solid morning routine (especially for our working moms, who are juggling it all with two littles each). Studies show that an early morning routine increases productivity and improves overall mental health, so skipping those extra zzz’s throughout the week must have some upsides. Here’s how our early risers get their day going.

  1. Coffee/Cold Brew (duh) - I mean, hello. Opt for a cold brew or add a scoop of collagen in your go-to cup, and for those moms and dads, wake up before the babes as a quick AM date. 

  2. Avocado toast + Over Easy Egg - Because, #health. This breakfast serves up plenty of protein, vitamins, and good fats that will give you energy to last throughout the morning. We recommend topping your avocado toast with the over easy egg, and sprinkling on some of Trader Joe’s Everything But the Bagel seasoning. You’re welcome.

  3. Check Emails - You have to do what’s best for you, and sometimes, checking emails before heading to the office gives a good head start to really get your mind in the zone. We’re all about work-life balance, which is different for everyone, so to each their own!

  4. Make your Bed - This simple chore actually boosts happiness and productivity -- and it takes about a minute. What may have once felt like a nag from your mom may just become your new morning ritual.

  5. Me-Time - Whether it be some light reading, taking time to journal, practicing some meditation, or even attending that early workout class, the most important piece in any good morning is to carve out time for some self-care. You can’t pour out of an empty cup, after all.
