Giving Thanksgiving It's Moment

About a month ago, we hosted a cozy evening under the stars at Dakota Acres. In the heart of the family-owned heirloom pumpkin patch, over 50 amazing working moms gathered for Mother Upload's monthly event. Mother Upload is a local working moms group founded by Rae Pardini Matson of RPM PR nearly 6 years ago, aimed to connect working moms with one another through monthly gatherings at various venues across California’s Central Valley.

We started the evening by sipping wine and assembling adorable pumpkin decorating kits for the moms to take home to their little ones. As the sun set, we ventured into the pumpkin patch for a progressive dinner that included a delicious three course meal prepared by Zeller Hospitality and served by some of the wives’ husbands -

🎃 Pumpkin spice soup “latte” served in a Starbucks cup and paired with a savory parmesan herb scone

🎃 Herb grilled chicken with a roasted squash, kale and crispy prosciutto risotto

🎃 Finished off with an array of desserts - choice of German apple cake, chocolate pie verrines with biscotti, and a pumpkin mascarpone cookie

We indulged not only in this delicious meal, but in great conversation. Amongst the beautiful tablescape with florals by dh floral were also the “party favors” - conversation cards by Paper Farm Press made for a natural conversation starter amongst this group of hustling mamas. The co-hosts, founder of Mother Upload and RPM PR, Rae Pardini Matson, and owner of Kimberly Joy Events and Dakota Acres, Kimberly Rocca, shared their gratitude for the amazing “village” that surrounds us all, and reminding them that this evening was a special moment of “reset and reflection” before all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

So here’s to cherishing and sitting in the moments; not trying to rush through them onto the next thing, and to celebrating the warmth of every season, even if sometimes it feels overwhelming juggling all the things.
